Two things that must be in place not to be seduced from the path God wants you to walk in.
We live in a day where people through social media are now exposed to all types of doctrines with everyone affirming that this is the truth. We must know how to discern voices.
The first is to rely on the teaching of the anointing within you. God raises up teachers whom he sends into our lives to open our eyes to the scriptures. However, no matter how well they teach if the listener doesn’t rely on the anointing within him i.e the Holy Spirit to take him beyond illumination to revelation what was planted can be stolen by the enemy.
1 John 2:26-27
“These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”
Activate that anointing by praying Ephesians 1:16-18 prayer and daily acknowledge the work of the Spirit within who teaches you all things.
Paul must have been an excellent teacher of the word of God yet he was confronted with false teachers who came into the Churches he had planted and successfully swayed the disciples from the path clearly laid out before them. Paul marveled at what he saw happening and had to travail in birth again for them.
Galatians 1:6
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:”
The second thing you must do is practice what you have been taught. When you hear the Spirit within show you things as you listen to teaching, make sure you practice it and bring forth fruit.
It is practically impossible to talk a man out of what he has personally experienced. If you practiced something and you saw the power of God in operation, you are in it for life. Many who are easily swayed never really practiced what they claimed to believe and so a good talk could sway them. This is what Jesus said.
Mark 9:39
“But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.”
Once you do and experience it is in you for life. The word has been made flesh.
