I love the way Jesus answered people who came with “deep” theological questions to catch him. They asked why he healed on the sabbath? He didn’t go deep talking about the spiritual nature of the sabbath. He simply answered by saying, “If your ox falls into a well on the sabbath what will you do ?”
When you are faced with a tough decision or people start complicating issues, you simplify it to real-time. Paint the scenario in a real-time situation and ask them what they will do if they are faced with such a situation, how will they react?
They will go quiet.
