To young ministers out there, shy away from and avoid the sound which says “God is doing away with older ministers and will replace them with you the younger”. Historically speaking, such voices have always ended up being clouds without water.
Yes, God is always raising new voices in every generation but not at the expense of anyone. There is no competition or battle within members of the same body. Each part has its unique role. God is not unrighteous to forget the labor of love of his servants. He doesn’t discard with people. It is people who withdraw from him.
My candid advice is to focus on your work, labor on your vision, and make sure it is done in the spirit of love to bless the body and not to take over. God is no coup plotter. Your work will grow and flourish, no other person’s work has to diminish because another is growing. Leave all this “Moses is dead” talk alone. Pray and study to bless the people assigned to you and let God do the positioning.
Those who preached this same thing 20 years ago did not assume any leadership roles in the body, God raised others who simply focused on the vision given to them.
Paul never attacked the 12 apostles to establish his ministry. They saw God’s grace on him and gave him the right hand of fellowship.
