What bothers me is the wedge and division some drive into their long-existing spiritual relationships because of politics. We cannot divide the Body of Christ on the grounds of partisan politics. It’s a shame to agree on the doctrines of Christ and then divide on partisan politics.
Some American ministers who are my friends tell me in their private moments, allowing partisan politics into the mainstream of issues cost them their unity. The paramount thing on the heart of the Spirit is the unity of the Body. A united Church through strategic prayers can neutralize anything.
We mustn’t sacrifice the move of the Spirit in this nation that came as a result of years of intercessory prayers by some whom we may never know on the altar of partisan politics.
