I was in a conversation with a medical doctor today and here are his thoughts on the relationship between the older and younger generation. “I have listened to and read several comments of the older generation about this fear and I often ask: are they not still stakeholders?”
“Agreed that their generations have not delivered as planned, should they therefore just wait for death? Even if they constitute a minor fraction of society now, they still have a stake and must organize themselves too to mentor the younger generation.”
“No bloodline is totally replaced at once. As white blood cells age, new cells are gradually brought in but the body dares not commit the entire defense of the body to new cells which though may be more in number, are largely nonfunctional to fight infections.”
