A lot of people are poor today not because of any real fault of theirs or the lack of will on their part but because they didn’t get that little push. Everybody along the way has needed someone who gave that little push.
Ps 72:12 NIV “For he will deliver the needy….and the poor that hath no helper”
Some form of teaching has stigmatized the poor and those that are struggling like it is all their fault this type of thinking absolves us of the responsibility of really helping others up the ladder. We attribute our success to ourselves forgetting the role the environment and other people played.
