He is potter, I am the clay ~ Pastor Poju Oyemade

I have come to a place where I know things will never work out in detail as I thought but instead of getting discouraged I will ride the wind and see where it will place me.

In the Joseph’s wildest imagination he could never have conceived what God worked out through the betrayal of his brothers. God saw the end from the beginning and was positioning Joseph in Egypt for his purpose.

Faith is not the manipulation of God through a set of practices to bend his power to fulfill your will. It is following through knowing that God is your maker who will work all things together for your good fulfilling His purpose through you.

He is the potter, I am the clay. He moulds my life the way he chooses to. If you visit the potter midway through his work on the clay, it all seems messy but at the end the beauty of the work of his fingers show.

Isaiah 29:23
“But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.”

Is this not what the writer of Hebrews alluded to when he said

Hebrews 12:11
“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”

You may not understand what is going on right now in your life, you may just have been thrown a curved ball, the frustration lies in the fact that you thought you were in control. Truth is you are not, God is.

You cannot control men’s opinion about you nor the choices they make towards you but God ultimately has your back and you cannot lose.

He will never leave nor forsake you. You are the one who may exclaim “The Lord has forsaken me” using the events of life and opinion of men to judge his presence. He cannot forsake you but you can forsake him and his mercy towards you but jumping out of the process hardening your heart.

Stay in the process. Be intentional. Pray, asking for wisdom and insight but hold in there with intentional worship, rejoicing in the hope of his salvation.
