An attempt to bridge the gap between the promises of God and the condition in the lives of the people without prioritizing obedience to the instructions of the Spirit of God is what has given rise to superstitious teachings in the Body.
Stay with the basics of the faith such as prayer, confessing the promises, worship, and paying attention to obeying the instructions. It is the doers that are blessed not the hearers.
Some problems are simply because people are lazy, full stop. Nothing deep about it.
