Don’t get distracted by the chatter, focus on the opportunities God has prepared for you.
It was my friend Pastor How in Singapore who penned these words, “Most of your 2020 events may be canceled but most of your 2020 goals should remain on track. So don’t be distracted by the disruption…….” He further said “I am not into politics but I learned something reading newspapers.
An important long-term geopolitical effect of the September 11 attacks was that it distracted America from China’s rise. America, distracted by the global war on terror, either did not notice or could not respond to China. This resulted in the rise of Beijing’s global influence, especially in Third World nations.”
During this season some are discovering powerful ways to express the love of God within them and at the same time recognizing opportunities for growth by doing things differently. They have left the place of complaining and murmuring and have entered into expressing compassion for humanity, serving in creative ways that break self-centeredness, and then God has opened their eyes to new opportunities by making them more resourceful with what they have.
Don’t get consumed by the negative or engulfed in debates that will change nothing only increase your blood pressure. Theological debates are pointless now, pragmatic and insightful steps is what is needed.
Pray and watch, growth opportunities abound this season.
